Chalkbell puts AI into the two jobs that eat the most staff time at term end and session start: writing report card remarks and building the timetable. AI drafts, a teacher decides.

Chalkbell is an AI-powered school management system for Indian schools. AI is built into two jobs. Class teachers get a first draft of each student's report card remark, written from that student's own marks, attendance and co-scholastic grades, and edit it before saving. Timetable in-charges write their rules in plain words, such as "no maths after lunch", and Chalkbell builds a clash-free weekly timetable that follows them. In both cases AI proposes and a person approves; nothing is saved until someone presses Save.
One click drafts a two-to-three sentence remark for every student in the class, naming their strongest subjects, what needs work, and a next step.
Each draft is based on that student's grades, attendance and co-scholastic results. The AI is told never to invent activities or behaviour.
The AI sees "S1", "S2" and the marks, not names, admission numbers or parents. Chalkbell puts the first name back in afterwards.
Type rules the way you would say them: "Meena Ma'am is free on Saturdays", "at most two English periods a day". Chalkbell shows how it understood each one.
A scheduling engine, not the AI, places every period, so a teacher is never in two rooms at once and the bell schedule is always followed.
Drafts and timetables are previews. Teachers edit remarks; the coordinator reviews the timetable grid, tries another arrangement, or saves.
Two things today. It drafts class-teacher remarks for report cards from each student's marks, attendance and co-scholastic grades, and it turns timetable rules written in plain language into constraints for Chalkbell's timetable generator. Teachers review and approve both before anything is saved.
No. For remarks, the AI receives a reference such as S1 with that student's grades and attendance only, with no name, admission number, parents or date of birth. Chalkbell adds the first name back after the draft returns. For timetables, it sees subject, class and staff names, and no student data.
No. The AI only reads the written rules. A separate scheduling engine places every period and never puts a teacher or a class in two places at once. Rules the AI could not understand are listed back to you, not guessed.
No. Remark drafts appear in the report card form for the teacher to edit, and generated timetables appear as a preview. Nothing is saved until a staff member presses Save, and each AI action is recorded in the audit log.
Yes. Teachers can type remarks by hand, and the timetable generator works without written rules. AI is an assistant on top of the ERP, not a requirement.
Every module writes to the same student record, so nothing is typed twice.
Teachers enter marks once. Chalkbell weighs periodic tests, notebook, subject enrichment and term exams the way the CBSE report card reads, and prints the PDF.
Not "download our app and find your school". Parents install an app with your school's name and logo, and everything the school sends lands there.
Set the fee once per class. Chalkbell works out every student's dues, with their concessions, instalments and late fines, and keeps one ledger the office and the accountant both trust.
Leave your number and we'll call you back the same working day, in Hindi or English.
