CBSE requires at least 75% attendance for a student to appear in the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, under Rules 13 and 14 of its Examination Bye-Laws. Attendance is days present divided by the school's working days. A shortfall can be condoned only in serious, documented cases, such as prolonged illness with medical certificates, the death of a parent, or participation in national-level events, and only through the school. This calculator shows where a student stands today and what it takes to stay at or above 75% for the session.
Days present divided by working days, shown to one decimal and never rounded up past the line.
If you are above 75%, how many days you can be absent from today and still stay at 75% or more.
If you are below 75%, how many days in a row you must attend to climb back.
Add the working days left and see the minimum days present for the full session, or whether 75% is still reachable.
Some schools ask for 80% or 85%. Change the target and the numbers update.

CBSE requires at least 75% attendance for Class 10 and Class 12 students to appear in the board exams, counted against the school's working days. Students below 75% are not allowed to sit the exams unless the shortfall is condoned.
Divide the days present by the total working days and multiply by 100. For example, 88 days present out of 120 working days is 73.3%, which is below 75%.
Only in serious, documented cases such as prolonged illness with medical certificates from a government doctor, the death of a parent, or participation in national or international events. The school sends the case to CBSE by the deadline in that year's circular, and the student cannot apply directly.

Yes. In Chalkbell, working days come from the school's academic calendar and holidays, attendance comes from RFID gate taps or the teacher's app, and each student's percentage is always up to date, so shortfalls are spotted months before the board exam.
Every module writes to the same student record, so nothing is typed twice.
Students tap their card at the gate. Chalkbell marks them present or late against your school's cutoff time, and the class register is filled in before the teacher reaches the room.
Not "download our app and find your school". Parents install an app with your school's name and logo, and everything the school sends lands there.
Teachers enter marks once. Chalkbell weighs periodic tests, notebook, subject enrichment and term exams the way the CBSE report card reads, and prints the PDF.
Leave your number and we'll call you back the same working day, in Hindi or English.
