Students tap their card at the gate. Chalkbell marks them present or late against your school's cutoff time, and the class register is filled in before the teacher reaches the room.

Chalkbell's RFID attendance system connects the school gate to the student record. Each student carries an RFID card; when they tap it on a reader, Chalkbell marks them present, or late if the tap is after the school's cutoff time, on that day's register. A second tap the same day does not overwrite the first. Parents are told when their child arrives late, and teachers can still mark attendance from their phone for students without cards.
Chalkbell talks to RFID readers schools already have, including older network readers whose vendor no longer supports them.
Each tap is compared with your school's cutoff time. Before it is present; after it is late. No one types anything.
The first tap counts. Tapping again at lunch or at the gate on the way out does not change the morning's mark.
A late arrival sends the parent an app notification. Absentees are visible to the office as soon as the gate closes.
A tap from a card not assigned to anyone is recorded, not guessed. The office assigns cards to students in one screen.
Working days come from your academic calendar and holidays, so the 75% attendance needed for board exams is worked out correctly.
Usually not. Chalkbell works with RFID readers many schools already own, including older network readers that the original vendor no longer supports. We check your model before you sign.
Each school sets a cutoff time. A card tap before the cutoff marks the student present; a tap after it marks the student late. The first tap of the day is the one that counts.
Yes. A late arrival sends the parent a notification on the school's parent app, so they know the child reached school and at what time.
The class teacher marks the student present from the teacher app. Card taps and manual marks go into the same register.
Yes. Chalkbell counts working days from the school's academic calendar and holiday list, and shows each student's attendance percentage against the 75% requirement.
Every module writes to the same student record, so nothing is typed twice.
GPS trackers on your buses send their position to Chalkbell. The office and parents see where the bus is right now, so "where is the bus?" stops being a phone call.
Not "download our app and find your school". Parents install an app with your school's name and logo, and everything the school sends lands there.
Teachers enter marks once. Chalkbell weighs periodic tests, notebook, subject enrichment and term exams the way the CBSE report card reads, and prints the PDF.
Leave your number and we'll call you back the same working day, in Hindi or English.
