What it is

Chalkbell's online admission system lets parents apply to a school from the school's website. The form collects the child's and parents' details, and the parent pays the registration or admission fee by UPI, bank transfer or at the counter, entering the UTR reference. The office matches the payment against the bank statement, reviews the application, and accepts the child, which creates the student record in the ERP directly. No payment gateway is required to start.

What you get

Apply from your website

An application form on your school website, built for phones, in your school's branding.

UPI and bank transfer

Parents pay the way they already pay, and enter the UTR number. No payment gateway needed to begin.

Payment checked against the bank

The office matches each UTR with the bank statement before marking it paid, so nothing is taken on trust.

Enquiries in one place

Walk-ins, phone calls and website enquiries tracked together, with follow-up status.

Application to student in one step

An accepted application becomes a student record, with no re-typing of names, parents or address.

Fees follow automatically

Once enrolled, the student is placed on the right fee structure for their class.

How it works

  2. Parents apply and pay by UPI, bank transfer or at the counter.
  3. The office verifies payments and reviews applications.
  4. Accepted children become students, ready for fees and class allocation.

Questions schools ask

Can parents apply for admission online?

Yes. Parents fill the admission application on the school's website from their phone or computer, and the application arrives at the school's admissions desk in Chalkbell.

Do we need a payment gateway for the admission fee?

No. Parents can pay by UPI, bank transfer or at the counter and enter the UTR reference. The office verifies it against the bank statement. A school can add online payment through its own Razorpay account later.

What happens when an application is accepted?

The application becomes a student record in Chalkbell with the child's and parents' details, so nothing is typed twice, and the student can be placed on a fee structure and class.

Can walk-in and phone enquiries be tracked too?

Yes. The admissions desk records enquiries from every source with their follow-up status, alongside online applications.
