What it is

A school fee receipt is the school's written proof that a parent paid a fee. It shows the school's name, a receipt number, the date, the student's name, class and admission number, the period the fee covers, each fee head with its amount, any late fine or concession, the total in figures and in words, how it was paid, and a signature. This generator makes one in your browser. Leave fields blank to print a blank receipt format to fill in by hand, or tick the box to print a parent copy and a school copy on one page.

What you get

Amount in words, done for you

The total is written in words the Indian way, in lakhs and crores, so it always matches the figures.

Your own fee heads

Rename any head, such as tuition, transport or exam fee, and leave the amount blank to skip it.

Fine and concession

Add a late fine or a discount and the total updates. A concession never takes it below zero.

Two copies on one page

Print a parent copy and a school copy on one A4 sheet, with a cut line between them.

Your logo and details

Add the school name, address, affiliation number and logo once. They stay on this device for next time.

Nothing is uploaded

Everything happens in your browser. No sign-up, and no fee data leaves your computer.

How it works

  1. Enter your school name and address, and add a logo if you like.
  2. Fill in the receipt number, date, student and the months the fee is for.
  3. Enter the amount for each fee head, plus any fine or concession.
  4. Click "Print or save as PDF". Choose "Save as PDF" in the print window to keep a file.

Who it's for

  • School offices that still write receipts by hand
  • Tuition centres and coaching classes
  • Schools that need a receipt format in a hurry
  • Parents who need a duplicate receipt from the school

Questions schools ask

What should a school fee receipt include?

The school name and address, a receipt number, the date, the student's name, class and admission number, the period the fee covers, each fee head with its amount, any fine or concession, the total in figures and in words, the payment mode with a cheque or UPI reference, and a signature.

Is this fee receipt generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to us or saved on a server.

How do I save the receipt as a PDF?

Click "Print or save as PDF", then choose "Save as PDF" as the printer in the print window. On a phone, use the share or print option and pick PDF.

Can I print a blank fee receipt format?

Yes. Add your school details and leave the rest blank. Empty fields print as lines to fill in by hand, so you can photocopy a blank receipt book page.

Does it keep track of receipt numbers?

No. This tool makes one receipt at a time, so you type the number yourself. In Chalkbell, every payment gets the next receipt number automatically, the parent gets the receipt on the school app, and dues and defaulter lists update on their own.
